Having spent all my working
life in the City of London, I took up painting when I retired in
I paint mainly in Pen and Watercolour or pure Watercolour. Having
lived in London in my early years and now very close to the Thames
estuary I have a natural affinity to Londonís river and its
surroundings. I also love to visit and paint the North Norfolk coast
with its big skies and coastal scapes.
I am a follower of the Art of the late English watercolourist Edward
Wesson and have painted with Steve Hall, Dr Robin Macdonald and
Melvyn Randall who keep Wessonís style alive today.
I am an active member of Southend Art Club regularly exhibiting and
showing with them and I am delighted to have been accepted as a
member of the Maritime Art Group.
